Broods, Betty Who & More: New Music Monday, Week of 10.13.14

A soothing song can make for a soothing week! Broods doesn’t fail to provide another selection of beautifully written music on their 11-track album Evergreen. I am personally most in favor of “Superstar.” For additional mellow material, I also included Dreamboys’ “Positive Arguments” in this week’s New Music Monday.

Betty Who‘s long awaited full-length album finally came out as well! The Australian singer, best known for her hit “Somebody Loves You” (which is a favorite of mine), took some previously released tracks and combined them with some new ones, (including “Dreaming of You”) to make up Take Me When You Go. Any lover of pop music has got to be a Betty Who lover. All of her songs sound like they could have been written for Katy Perry.

For the EDM lover, Galantis‘ “Runaway (U & I)” is a fun track not to be missed. And speaking of EDM, I am pleased with David Guetta‘s “Dangerous,” featuring Sam Martin. It’s a step outside of his typical bass-heavy club sound.
