Whew! 2017 is less than a month from being over, so while you’re in the middle of rejoicing (as I’m sure most of you are!), do so with some fresh new music.
As the year comes to a close, the music is mellowing out, so prepare to cozy up in cold weather to 32 chill new tunes. I had this playlist on repeat over the weekend while I cooked and hung up new apartment decor. I couldn’t have picked a better selection of sounds to accompany my tasks.
From BAUM and Sigrid, to Satin Jackets, Aquilo, Chelsea Lankes and more, hopefully the songs I’ve chosen will keep you hopeful of the new music to come in 2018.

As we spend this chilly Monday afternoon coming down from the highs of our glorious holiday vacations, we can at least find comfort in knowing that with a new year, comes new music, a new round of music festivals and new long-awaited album releases.
Although today’s New Music Monday selection is relatively small (the new releases greatly dwindled after Dec. 18), I’ve got some fresh material by Weekender, Aquilo, DJ Snake, RAC featuring Little Boots, Michael Coveto featuring Tory Lanez, and a handful of other artists who are sure to kick of your January 2016 just right.
Click on the playlist below for the selection of 11 new tracks. And a happy, healthy, safe 2016 to all!
Obviously, the internet is abuzz today with news of the 2016 Grammy Nominations (woohoo, Tame Impala!) – and snubs (where was “Ayo“‘s nom?!).
But in the midst of anticipating the results of the big Feb. 15 awards show, let’s take a look at some new music. Heck, some of these could make 2017’s nominations list – who knows?
This week, I have 31 new songs, ranging from dubstep by Savoy and Skrillex, to lots and lots of chill stuff to ease you into the thick of December by Paperwhite, Retro Culture, Cinnamon Chasers, Geographer, Brothertiger, Aquilo and so much more! And who can leave out the new stuff by consistent skyelyfe favorites Miike Snow, St. Lucia – and The Knocks (featuring Cam’Ron, of all people! Does it get any better than this?!)
Check out the playlist below. I promise you will not be disappointed!
Let me start off by saying happy Jewish New Year to those (myself included) who observe today’s Rosh Hashanah holiday. As I begin to enjoy this spiritual, reflective day and nosh on my apples and honey (gotta do it!), it’s certainly an added bonus to have some fresh, calming music to accompany the experience.
I have 41 new songs to share with you all, ranging from melodic EDM by Audien (the song “Something Better” features Lady Antebellum, which is a unique turn for this type of artist) – to a really fun indie-electro track “Compact Disco” by my pals DWNTWN.
Also in the mix? Some additional skyelyfe favorites and regulars, including GEMS, Kaskade, Kasket Club, Aquilo, Tep No, Sohight & Cheevy, Janet Jackson, Zara Larsson and many, many more.
With so many songs to choose from today, I definitely think your ears will get their sound fix, regardless of what they are craving. After checking out the first Soundcloud track below, be sure to continue scrolling for the rest of the music which is on the Spotify list:
Some of my favorites (Satin Jackets, Penguin Prison, Pompeya) are making the start to the week a little brighter with contributions to my latest New Music Monday playlist.
While they seem to be regulars on my weekly lists, I am newly digging Toronto-based producer Shaun Frank‘s groovy synth melodies in his latest track “Time,” which – like the title – takes you back to a different era!
To take things down a notch, give a listen Aquilo‘s soulful “Put Me Down,” Avivaa‘s “PRiSM,” or Henry Green‘s “Barcelona.”
And then you’ve got chart-topper Ciara back with the sexy debut single from her latest album Jackie, called “Dance Like We’re Making Love.”
Check out the playlist below, which also includes fresh tracks by Gypsy & the Cat, Parade of Lights, Make the Girl Dance, Made in Heights and more!
