Road trips are great and all, but when it comes to Coachella, we really have the mindset of just get me there already, right?
But unfortunately, it doesn’t quite work that way, and sometimes we are stuck cruisin’ for hours to get to the coveted Coachella Valley desert area.
That said, what gets us more amped for the festival than a little taste of what’s to come over the next few days? Well, clearly not traffic! Forget about your traveling woes and scroll to the bottom of the post for a playlist of the 48 artists skyelyfe encourages you to see. IMHO, if you miss Gucci Mane, Shura, Classixx or ScHoolboy Q, why did you even bother showing up?!
But regardless of who you watch, if you’re feeling reminiscent about last year’s festival, listen to my must-see playlist from Coachella 2016. And above all else, safe travels!
I can’t speak for the rest of you, but I am loving L.A.’s midsummer rainy weather over the last few days. It’s been quite the unexpected surprise, and it has also given me the perfect opportunity to sit inside my apartment and casually enjoy new music.
This week, I have eleven new songs that are (hopefully) sure to kick your week off just right!
If you’re looking for something mellow to complement the overcast weather outside, give a listen to Tame Impala‘s “The Less I Know the Better,” which is definitely the best song I have yet to hear by them. I also recommend “Shaded In,” by Filous, and the very pretty “Indecision,” by Shura.
Carly Rae Jepsen is back with another one of her signature infectious poppy love songs: “Run Away with Me.”
And for a little more lively sound, I’ve included Bobby Burns‘ “Satellites” and Hermitude‘s “The Buzz.” And the vocal mix of Etienne de Crecy‘s “Smile” is just divine.
